HAIR LOSS CONSULTATION AT KIH
A Face to Face Consultation is simply the better way to make sure that you get the hair loss treatment you’re looking for. Your consultation will ALWAYS be with a qualified medical specialist, and not with a sales rep, under pressure to close a deal.
Our policy is always to use a qualified medical specialist for a one-to-one private consultation, usually the doctor who will be performing your surgery. And if hair transplants are not the right treatment for you, they will be able to prescribe alternatives.
This is not just – in our opinion – the only ethical way to deal with what can be a sensitive subject. It is also the only way to guarantee that you will have a free choice of all suitable options, free from any pressure to commit before you know precisely what is involved and what the likely outcomes will be. That’s why we charge for our consultations because you see a doctor not a sales man working on a commission.
We don’t actually recommend online hair loss consultations as hair restoration is more complicated than can be seen in a video link or blurry emailed photos. However, we do understand that many patients are busy people or live a long way from our three hair loss centres, so the internet is a great help for information gathering. In that case, we recommend taking good quality photos – front, sides, top and back of your head, at a distance of about 5 feet usually works best. And please state what your priorities are; not just “more hair!” It is better to state your priority aim – temples, frontal, crown etc. Although it may be possible to treat more than one area at once, it usually works best if you concentrate most of the grafts on the area that bothers you the most. Everybody wants a full head of hair – but it may not be possible to do that, certainly not in one go.
Personalised to you – KIH Hair Transplant Clinic will provide you with an individual recommendation based on your personal hair pattern, genetic history, hair texture and colour. We do not offer a ‘one size fits all’ consultation that talks in general terms about the options available. We offer expert, impartial advice that you can trust, tailored to your precise needs. It is then up to you to decide how you would like to proceed.
